Hair Restoration

Hair loss has become a growing concern among male and female, according to the American Hair Loss Association, at least 85% of men and 40% of women report noticeable hair loss by age 50. Even younger people are beginning to report hair loss as early as in their 20s with male pattern baldness being the most common type of hair loss.

On the average, a person loses 100-150 strands of hair per day, which is normal and barely noticeable because new hairs are constantly growing to replace the ones that have fallen out. True hair loss occurs when the hair growth cycle is disrupted or when a hair follicle is destroyed or shrunken. There are a variety of reasons why someone might start to experience thinning hair. Some hair loss is temporary and can be due to stress, hormonal changes, or poor diet. Other hair loss can be permanent and might be due to environmental factors, health conditions, or heredity. Since there are so many causes for hair loss and thinning, there is no one cure-all. But as hair loss rates rise, there is more research, which leads to more solutions, and hair restoration doesn't necessarily mean you need surgery. Here are five ways to promote hair growth without going under the knife.

PRP- PLATELET-RICH-PLASMA

Platelet-Rich Plasma, also known as PRP is the most effective non-surgical treatment for hair loss. The procedure requires a small amount of the patient's blood to be drawn, the plasma is then separated from the blood by spinning the blood in a medical grade centrifuge. PRP is gotten from the separated platelet and therefore poses no side effect to the patient. It is injected into the affected area of the scalp where it acts like a fertilizer to thicken regrow the hair.

To aid the hair growth process, we often microneedle the affected areas using an RF microneedle. the radiofrequency combined with microneedle has also been proved to stimulate hair growth at a faster rate.

Treatment is done every 6 weeks for a total of 3-4 treatments, a maintenance treatment of every 6 months is also advised. each treatment at start with

ACELL + PRP

ACell is extracellular matrix protein complex that  aids in new tissue growth. It triggers new blood vessel formation, recruits stem cells, and resorbs, leaving no scar tissue or material behind. On the other hand, PRP is loaded with growth factor that improves follicular cell function. The combination of ACell therapy with PRP delivers a significant hair restoration benefits such as; improvement of natural hair, stimulate new hair growth, prevent further hair loss and strengthened weakened hair. This hair restoration technique

is particularly beneficial for adult men and women who are in the initial stages of genetic pattern hair loss. Regular ACell + PRP treatments will help protect targeted hair follicles from starting the miniaturization process (which eventually results in hair loss) and will revitalize those follicles that have already started to decline.

LOW-LEVEL LASER THERAPY (LLLT)

Low-Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) and PDT light has been around for about a decade. While other clinics use only the light therapy, at ToyoGlow MedSpa, we offer both the laser and the PDT 2 in 1 treatment package. The 650nm laser and 630nm PDT enhances the activity of Adenosine Triphospate (ATP) of the subcutaneous tissue. The outer layer of skin absorbs the ATP, which promotes hair follicle growth, in a similar way to how plants use light to grow. 650nm laser and 630nm PDT enhance blood flow, oxygen, and nutrients to the hair follicles, while the 808nm laser helps with penetration of hair growth serum. As a result, it achieves the efficacy of halting the progression of hair loss. While LLLT is a great option for those not looking to invest as much as PRP, it is not for everyone and therefore, a consultation with an adequate assessment must be completed to determine the right choice for a patient.

SCALP FACIAL

The reason for an unhealthy hair may be due to an unhealthy scalp. More than often we give our skin and face our regular attention compared to our scalp, forgetting that our scalp is an extension of our skin. Stress, medical conditions, medications, chemicals and hair products can cause unhealthy scalps and inhibit the growth of healthy hair. Just shampoo the hair and scalp don't always get rid of the gunks in our scalps, and these gunks clog the hair follicles, makes the scalp very itchy, dry and flaky. Most importantly, it prevents the scalp from receiving adequate nutrients or to grow new healthy hair. Think about adding oil to your car engine without ever changing the filter or the old oil, gross, right, exactly what we do when we forget to exfoliate and deep clean our scalp.

However, completing a scalp hydrafacial with us allows for a proper cleansing, exfoliating, hydrating and nourishing your scalp at the same time. After exfoliating your scalp, we infuse it with proprietary blend of vitamin B5 growth factors and 2 skin proteins (Biotin $ Collagen). You also get to have a home kit for daily use. Scalp HydraFacial is suitable for all skin types.

Prior to any type of hair growth treatment, we often require clients to complete either a scalp hydrafacial or a jet peel scalp detox. This techniques uses saline solution and other essential oils that are specific for hair growth to deeply cleanse and exfoliate the scalp, It also infuses oxygen into the scalp during the process. Think about a pressure wash, exactly what it does to your scalp. Then hair growth topical solution like minoxidil, can be sprayed into your scalp to be massaged with a red light and electrode massage comb for better penetration.
